Who I am

Welcome to my ceramics shop, where every piece has been hand crafted with love and care.

I am a ceramic artist and art educator based in Bloomington, Minnesota. Creativity has always been central to who I am—making art is what energizes and grounds me. My relationship with clay and making has been cultivated over many years through both teaching and sustained creative exploration.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education and a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Wisconsin–Stout. Currently, I teach high school ceramics and bring a broad interdisciplinary background to my practice, having taught courses in drawing and painting, jewelry and metalsmithing, graphic design, photography, ceramics, and more.

My work centers on functional and decorative ceramic pieces designed for everyday life. I create a wide range of pieces, including spoon rests, mugs, bowls, lidded containers, vases, planters, and jewelry or trinket dishes. Play and experimentation are central to my process, particularly through the use of glazes and decals, which allow for variation, surface complexity, and discovery.

My ceramics are rooted in the belief that art belongs in daily life. Whether serving a practical purpose or simply occupying space, my work is intended to bring beauty, warmth, and intention into the everyday moments of living.
